This course is directed students who are willing to learn English as a Foreign Language using blended learning. This type of learning has been designed to take full advantage of these two modes of interaction: on-line and face-to-face. On-line interaction will be during 6 hours of intense work at home, 4 hours will be devoted to face-to face- interaction, which will take place on a weekly basis.
This is a 140 hour course for students who are starting with a level around B1 and want to progress towards B1+, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the Marco de Referencia para la Elaboración de Planes de Estudio del CELE.
Objectives
After being exposed to different authentic materials, both in written and oral forms, and the practice of certain language activities, you will be able to understand the main points of clear standard interactions on familiar matters regularly encountered at work, school, or during your free time. Using coherently connected language and through the planning and creation of presentations, short verbal interactions, and short written productions, you will be able to ask, give and justify your opinion about a social problem. You will also be able to express agreement or disagreement regarding stereotypes and prejudices, and within the topic of Technology and Gadgets, you will be able to write a formal letter of complaint.
