El Centro de Estudios Garrigues junto con el Institute for Global Law & Policy de la prestigiosa Harvard Law School, unen experiencia y conocimiento para aportar su visión del ejercicio internacional de la abogacía.
Ambas instituciones ofrecen la oportunidad a abogados experimentados y noveles de profundizar en las principales áreas del derecho internacional, una formación necesaria en el perfil del jurista global.
Entre las cuestiones que se abordan, se encuentran el derecho anglosajón, las negociaciones y desarrollo de contratos internacionales, la solución de conflictos internacionales con implicaciones de diferentes regímenes jurídicos, análisis de operaciones reales internacionales y las consecuencias jurídicas, etc.
El claustro de profesores lo integran principalmente socios de Garrigues y destacados docentes de Harvard.
Ángel Calleja, Socio de Garrigues dirige el programa con la especial colaboración del Prof. David Kennedy, Faculty Director of IGLP at Harvard Law School.
El curso se impartirá en su totalidad en inglés.
OBJETIVO
To provide participants with the essential key skills to practice competitively as lawyers in the international business world, as they complete the program modules.
To gain an in-depth knowledge of international negotiations, international contracts, the principles of Anglo-Saxon law, the conflict of laws, international treaties and dispute resolution.
To identify and define as far as possible the commercial, geographical mobility-related, and technological facets of the profile of an international lawyer, among other aspects.
DESTINATARIOS
- Practicing lawyers with any level of experience or responsibility, whether practicing in sole-practitioner firms or in partnerships, who are exposed to the problems posed by international business and transactions.
- Heads or members of the in-house legal departments of companies, whatever their size, who are increasingly involved in the international business world.
- Graduate students who need to supplement their training, in a practical and direct way, with knowledge of the relevant key legal aspects of international contracts.
